@ThePirateQueen @goygirl Free yourself and discover who you are without those things. It's never too late for a fresh start! If you even have to stop and think whether you need it... you do not need that! Put it in the AWAY section.

You can always change your mind, right up until the moment it leaves your possession, whether at the dump or as a gift or sale to another. Just put it there with the throwaway stuff for a while, just to see how it feels. If it feels right, get on with it and get rid of it.

I recently got rid of a bunch of sentimental stuff from a past relationship. And am about to get rid of more stuff since I'm moving.

I only wear about 10% of my clothes. Now that I'm in my 40s, I don't want my "in my 30s but still trying to appear 25" clothes anymore. I am ready to accept my age with dignity.

I look a bit young so I thought I'll look better that way, but, my views have changed. I want to look more distinguished. I wanna wear more button up shirts and slacks, and blazers when its not too warm. Maybe a tie here and there. Some nice looking shoes. Designer sunglasses. Maybe a watch.

*sigh*

Thanks. I needed to get that off my chest and psych myself up for this move (and decluttering). Now I feel like we are in this together, so it makes a big difference for me. Good luck with your situation!

If they want to use an ancient justification, hold them to that ancient standard which is nothing at all like what modern LGBTQ culture propagates as normal and healthy.
