"Ed now departs from POSIX and ignores SIGPIPE to prevent commands like 'w !:' or ',!:' from terminating ed. A broken pipe is now detected as any other write error."
@lain “PRODUCER” Alex Kurtzman is a Low (Very!!!) I.Q. Individual, much in the mold of the Akiva Plus Three Gang of Star Trek Destroying Morons - Only slightly dumber. Each of these political hacks should be forced to take a Cognitive Exam, These Radical Left Lunatics would all fail this test in a spectacular show of stupidity and incompetence. TAKE THE TEST!!!
@lain Jokes aside, the Legacy "pitch" and this Enterprise "sequel" pitch sound like the closest thing yo good Star Trek. But as long as Kurtzmann and company are at the helm, there is no hope for an engaging new Star Trek series
«On Enterprise, we didn’t really have time to explore the formation of the Federation. The focus was on defense and saving the planet—which, of course, was vital for the story we were telling. But I believe we were going to lay the groundwork for a government and a state that would champion sentient rights, the rights of all species, really—and stand firmly for justice and equality across the galaxy. And that would ultimately lead to the establishment of the Prime Directive. We never really got to dig into all of that on Enterprise as much as I would’ve liked, and I think we definitely would have if the series had continued beyond season 4. There’s still so much to explore in that era.»
Do we really need that? It can be interesting you can also fail and pull a Discovery.
Again, Star Trek was already for adults. Nu-Trek did some serious damage for people to consider their products as "not for adult audiences"

H. Faust«When you’re establishing a new show, I think it’s important that it stand on its own two feet. If you lean too heavily, too soon, on bringing back characters from other shows or films, you risk slipping into pure ‘memberberries.’ With United, the ideas Scott and I discussed center on a lot of new characters—but of course there are plenty of opportunities for some familiar faces to appear, maybe even in recurring or semi-regular roles.»
Sure, I can agree with that. DS9 only had two gratuitous cameos when it started (Q and Lwaxana Troi) but they were their own show and only brought Worf after they found their footing.
