    My 5-y.o. is hard. Oldest wasn't. Started so right at 3, which some chalked up to new baby due any day, then his arrival.

    Doesn't matter what it was, said the shit couldn't hit me. Home alone w/him WAAAY too much for that. Right/wrong the one area of mush life for hubs is kid discipline. K, it's kinda wrong, but gets it from his dad (out-of-state a lot of his childhood, then softie when home). Men with guilt about out-of-town jobs go hard-ass, or soft-ball, my mom always said... I got soft-ball.

    Meh, I made up for it, I'm sure (I spank... he got big enough/avoidant enough, I wooden spoon, but only have to threaten that one 90% of time now... thankfully). Well, found out year+ ago he's autistic. He RARELY hits me anymore, though, & isn't such a tard he couldn't learn. Has turned to Dad instead, who sporadically will finally spank him, too. It actually makes me crazy to watch people, even my husband, let a kid be an overt shit because - you're right - that's only worse with age. It's a youth test for many. End it then.

    My 2-y.o. currently screaming in his crib about late nap, lol, isn't a breeze, either, but he's a lot more verbal & "reasonable" most the time.

    I don't mind occasional big feels at home not directed at me... still learning emotional regulation.
    No one LIKES to spank their kids, but no one else likes them if you don't.

    It doesn't or does look Italian? 🤔 She probably is Italian. All the half or more Italian women I know are very well-kept, manicured, pretty ladies. The further north you go, we get a lot more "Fargo."

    It's a muffuggin coxsackie Christmas in these parts (hand, foot, & mouth disease 😩).

    Freakin miserable... think I'm getting it now. Whoever told you chicken pox & measles sucked obviously never cared for kids with something you can not only actually CATCH from them in adulthood, but it's worse, & can keep passing in your house until, well, kids become more sanitary :cry_hq:

    Literally the ONLY upside is it keeps my mother-in-law away.

    Really... this is a coxsackie A virus, which can still in rare occurrences have pretty ugly effects (meningitis, polio-like reactions, etc.), but type B is very nasty.

    We're all dosing [German] homeopathy pellets 3X daily since Tuesday. Seemed to tame 2-yr old pretty fast. By some miracle he hasn't gotten 1-y.o. sis sick in almost 2 wks. That's a feat!
