@sickburnbro @MCMLXVIIOTG @matty @Myshkin The sharkbites work really well. Especially good in places it's difficult to apply heat. Also easier to use in repairs where it's a little harder to get the pipe cleaned for soldering.

Much of the time, OEM software is required which can cost hundreds or thousands to get. (Thankfully enthusiasts generally have black or gray market versions available) My car requires a trip to the dealer to change a 25$ TPMS sensor, or I have to spend a couple hundred on an after market programmer that only works on some brands of sensors.

So far the, the commercials aren't that bad, shorter breaks than network tv and you can do something else and rewind back without having to watch. Although they are working on this last part with interactive commercials and ads popping back up if you rewind too far.

It's not an unreasonable assumption on their part that they will be successful. So far, they have been correct. I think they are culturally out of touch with mainstream Americans and deluded by their echo chamber. But we won't know until we know.

The OLD ones run great. New refrigerants required to save the ozone run at higher pressures and puts more strain on the pumps and piping. You think those got upgraded to fit? Nope, now your fridge fails in 5 yrs just after warranty ends and heads to the landfill. That's sure more efficient and cost saving.
