    Boomercons are obsessed with finding this scapegoat since they wont dare talk poorly of pet minorities. They know a lot of guys are checked out of society and that won't pay for the hordes of illegals or keep the social security scam running. Minimalist lifestyle is only increasing in popularity and people are getting better at it as the days go on. Needless to say this strategy of getting people back into the wagie cage is not going to work.

    Ive seen examples where the trusses are not nailed together properly/separating , roofs leaking all over the place. The more complex a structure the bigger a nightmare. These are not the homes our uncles and grandpas made as carpenters.

    I'm betting on infinity inflation from here but probably won't totally crash unless population shrink really kicks in hard. You can't import your way out of it with 3rd worlders either, you just end up with a bottom tier shithole then. Overall the big bet is on ai, androids and all that stuff to crank efficiency way up.

    Modern economic theory is you are never supposed to pay off debt, only manage inflation. As such the interest doesn't matter as it's just a number in a spread sheet. Scary number goes up but it doesn't matter unless the cash enters the system.
