    @LukeAlmighty I am not a libertarian like you. I do believe that the nation has an obligation to serve its people, and that the people in return have an obligation to serve the nation.
    The issue then comes with disagreements about who "the people" are, and how the people and nation are best served.

    @LukeAlmighty Our mandatory military service (Which is not really mandatory at all) will be extended to also cover women next year. Very cringe.

    I do believe that some military service can be good for most men, assuming there is no abuse and such of course.
    Learning some basic first aid, how to handle a firearm and getting some basic fitness at least at one point in life are all good.
