This makes the limits of the well-being of living passengers less relevant, although the cargo of the rocket should of course still be in good condition, so the issue is not completely removed.

Very large "mothership" aircraft that flies to the most extreme altitudes possible with conventional aircraft engines, from which the spacecraft detaches and engages its own rocket engines to the last step of the way?
