    Go into MickyD's and look at the demographics of the customers and crew.

    @p My general view is that there will continue to be reasonable objections for quite some time, however they won't matter if the AI does the work. Self driving cars are good enough that thousands of people are having Tesla self driving take over daily. They have to keep their hands on the wheel, but you know they are zoning out and so far there haven't been massive increases in accidents as a result.

    The same will happen with each milestone. Right now AI can't be prompted to, 'Make an iphone app that will sell, use your imagination'. I don't rule that out within five years. Of course the app store will then be flooded with them, so it won't sell a lot.

    That will work even if ASI turns out to be a pipe dream.

    I believe ASI is possible but there is no point arguing about it as it will happen in the next five years, resolving it one way or another.

    @p A town has to be culturally primed to end up that fucked. If a 'refugee advocate' even shows his face in most towns whispering about low income housing he'll be escorted to the town line and warned never to return. So of course new boss same as old boss.

    In most places zoning and building codes are carefully written to make the massive rapid influx of anyone impossible, never mind impoverished refugees.
