    Breakfast Club was released soon after photography wrapped in 1985. If we assume the students in detention are all in the same year and Ringwald's age is her character's age (17) they are early GenX, just four years into the cohort, while Capitol Records is late GenX.

    Real Genius is up there with Tombstone and True Romance.

    Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang is another good Kilmer film, written by legendary Lethal Weapon creator Shane Black. Kilmer does play a homo so that will be a dealbreaker for some here.

    Complaining about being typecast while the real problem is never being cast. The three male leads in Dawn of the Dead are great. They did very little afterwards. Natasha Henstridge (Species) never got a decent romantic leading role, which she would have been perfect for.
