@EvilSandmich yeah, if you read any of the reports that the civil engineers put out, they've been warning of stuff for a decade. The fact that there haven't BEEN tons of failures has made their warnings fall on deaf ears, but in the end they will be able to point to their reports that weren't heeded.

@InvictusManeo this is a historically bad hurricane in terms of how much water it moved and the path it took. It's possible part of this will be explainable in terms of failure to maintain infrastructure, but this is the 100 year storm kind of thing and not a ton of modern infrastructure effectively builds to that level.

@sickburnbro Had a similar occurrence here in Europe, water swept across much of it, from Austria / Germany to Poland, Czechia, Roumania etc,etc
But main infrastructures managed to hold , and to say, hurricanes and huge water bombs here aren't common at all, one/two in a couple decades at best.
Seen videos from America with houses, bridges etc,etc swept away completely by the tide, expected something more by your infrastructures but those may be in a considerably worse shape than european ones, which I didn't imagined at all, honestly.

@sickburnbro I see, the so called "Boris" storm (propaganda levels through the roof, yeah) made a mess in Europe too, but here emphasis on maintaning infrastructural necessity is a bit less overrun by the seething suits screeching "profit" so it was probably that.
Things weren't exactly good here, either, but were managed, somewhat, with a quick and coordinated response as soon it became a common problem for that many states.
Germany in particularly provided quick aid to both Austria and Poland , so there was no shortage of helis and materials.
From what I am seeing american response lacked in timing and resource, is this correct from your perspective?

@InvictusManeo yes, people have pointed out how the military was ready to go within hours in katrina, but now they are not even activated. The entire operation is met with, well kind of the non-seriousness that this entire presidential administration has been run with.

The regime elites can't load us up onto boxcars yet but they can do their best to make sure life is as miserable as possible for us. The lack of response is quite deliberate. I've noticed that Euros tend to think that the people running the regime are just a little bit loopy, but no, this is them in their natural state. They really are that evil.

@sickburnbro @InvictusManeo Mountains are nice for a lot of things, but if you hit them with hurricane rains they funnel incredible amounts of water in a short time.
