At the very least it would force them to provide some response to the question, and it's framed from the point of view of trust - something Republicans are awful at.
What I mean by that is, their strategy has been "look at what those Democrats are doing" and then lying about what it is the Democrats are doing. It has never _been_ about trusting their Responding leadership, it has always been about _not_ trusting the other guy.
So that question actually drives down directly to a core value point that completely eludes the Republicans, one they know they lose every time, and therefore that's why they are always doing the other thing.
People who insist others CW politics have all the tools they need to create their own filters. Politicians and political parties, and people at large, are named with proper nouns. It isn't difficult.
It's not that they're lazy either. They're being directly confrontational when they make this demand. So it's not laziness preventing them from helping themselves. It's not ignorance either because virtually every time it's some greasy white tech dude insisting on the CWs. They know how to filter.
I guarantee you no one online enough to make such demands is actually, truly triggered and put into mental distress against their will by you discussing politics without a CW. 100% promise. They might be annoyed, but it's quite a privilege to just suffer being annoyed in the face of fascism. I don't care if I'm annoying them.
And lemme say, if anyone thinks they're the exception here, that they truly are emotionally frail enough that everyone ought to censor the discussion of politics that they're affected by? Get offline. For your own good. Because you can't change the world.

So at this point I'm out of excuses for em. They're being disingenuous, every time. They don't argue this for their own sake. It's not about them, they don't care about it being hidden from themselves. They care about it being hidden from _other people_. They care about the topics being discussed at all.
Insisting people use CWs for politics is just censorship by guilt-tripping. Folks out there using CWs on politics: they're not doing anyone any favors. Might as well stand aside at the book burning because stopping them would be impolite.
I _do_ encourage people to use the #uspol hashtag or whatever regional flavor you might have, because that function isn't about censoring. It can be used by individuals to censor their own feed and that's fine with me, but it's also a great way to get more visibility on a topic. Interested parties use those to subscribe and interact.
... That article describes "T parties" where men get together to test their testosterone together ...
And I'm just trying to figure out which brilliant fucking troll is responsible for all this.
"Remember me Eddie? When I killed your brother? I talked ... Just .... Like .... THIIIIIS!!"
I withheld voting because it wasn't there originally, thank you 😎
Kali Ma would've been the choice for me I think. It is wild that movie was rated PG considering today you can't even get away with blood in a PG-13 movie.
Yeah. Any Olympic level boxer will do. Worst in the world even.
You'll find many people to follow by following @lisamelton. She is a prolific booster and an asset to the whole community for it and I wouldn't be surprised if her name didn't already come up.
@RickiTarr does discussion roundups on a wife (edit: and wide, even) variety of topics, and you'll end up with a laugh every time you're reading her threads. you'll meet plenty of people in these threads.
@Alice is in charge of hot dogs. Nuff said.
@inthehands is an experienced hand in the development world and shares valuable insights about that world and how it interacts everywhere with everyone. I'm a big fan of Paul.
@TheBreadmonkey is British. I won't elaborate further.
Simple good business. "Yes I'll allow you to install our store onto as many devices as I possibly can". Not their problem if the handheld ends up like shit.
Oh yeah Biden, the most pro labor president we've had in decades, who was the first to walk in a picket line and has been endorsed by more labor unions than any candidate before him EVER ... Yeah, same billionaires behind them both.
What a fucking stupid thing to say.
Even Forbes, the billionaires journal, reports most of them are Republican donors, and virtually any who donate to Democrats donate to both. But most donate only to Republicans. Because like, we can actually see these numbers.
To be entirely fair "clean up the mess from the last group" is already a big part of my job in software development, no language models required.
It is most definitely coconut curry.
Doritos wasn't about to try to sell curry flavor to Americans as "curry" flavor. Hence "mystery flavor". Their marketing teams aren't racist, they're just not stupid, and they know a lot of Americans are.
"Ateeism" is a well known mockery of evangelical atheism, which is what this thread is going on about.
Be an atheist, cool. That's your choice.
But when you go around telling everyone else they're stupid because they're not like you, you've become the problem.
There's nothing wrong with atheism. There's something very ironic with evangelizing it though.
I hate golf. I hate golf so much that it's all I ever think about: how much golf ruined the world.
I don't play it, I don't watch it, but I'll argue about it with strangers for hours. I'll assume I know the minds of every golfer I encounter, despite not having set foot on a golf course since I was a child.
Man I fucking hate golf.
(Friends, this is a comment about evangelical atheism)
If you really want to support musicians, go to their website and buy a T-shirt. Easy. You'll have done more for them than you would streaming their music non stop on Spotify for years straight.
Bands make money as bands by touring and by selling merch. Royalties aren't where it's at.
They see most of the profits from the ticket sales. They see a few dollars profit when you buy their album at that show, they see a few cents profit when you buy that same album online. They take 100% of the profit when you buy merch.
Buy your tshirts from your favorite bands. Literally every T-shirt I wear anymore is from some band I enjoy.
For fucks sake that was an outstanding show..
Just some guy in California. If I've followed you it's because I just moved to this server and I used to follow you.I'm not funny like everyone else on this server, I'm just here for the obnoxiously long character limit.I might respond to you with memes.
