I've been expecting consolidation int the oil & gas industry as they lose market share to our efforts to electrify our lives, but not at this scale already. I'm not going to read too much into this at this point though.
That Signal clone app for archiving messages that Mike Waltz has been using, TeleMessage? It's unlicensed. Signal was unaware of its existence until they saw it in that Reuters photo. There's no known security vetting.
Certainly what is happening in terms of climate action is an important metric, but even more important is what is happening in your state, county, city, town, business, and in your own home too.
@ai6yr I posted that about Blair because his recent anti-renewable energy transition comments are getting quite a bit of attention, but his ties to the fossil fuel industry are not brought up to provide context to what may be shaping his opinions.
In 2024, the US residential solar market experienced its first annual decline in installed capacity since 2017 - a 31% contraction year-over-year - driven by persistent financing challenges and economic uncertainty. Wood-Mackenzie doesn't anticipate a recovery in customer ownership beginning in 2026.
Our orange wannabe dictator really, really wanted to go celebrate getting #Ukraine to surrender with his pal Putin in Moscow at the May military parade trying to look like a strongman.
TBH, nowadays this is pretty much the safe default consideration on social media. While I can promise you I'm not, why would I state otherwise if I am working for the Kremlin or other fossil fuel industry member?
I get it. You chose to not vote last fall and you're not happy with the results of that choice, but the answer is not to blame us Democrats who put forward a viable option to avoid it. She was less evil than him and if you didn't vote, turns out you voted for more evil then if you had voted for her.
As liability lawsuits against large oil and gas companies inch closer to trial and states start to adopt climate “Superfund” legislation, Republicans are rolling out new measures trying shield the industry from accountability.
I don't want to unfairly disparage it and hopefully I'm wrong, but I sure get the vibe that Sam Altman's new 'clean, solar thermal, dispatchable energy company', ExoWatt, is nothing more than a meme stock. Any thoughts? https://www.exowatt.com/
The World Economic Forum chose to put this man on stage because I assume they value his opinion.
Well, I want to point out that this man now complaining about what the Republicans are doing to our country donated over a hundred million dollars to help put Trump back into office.
I know that y'all desperately want to blame someone else for the situation we're in, but it is a fact that we make up the electorate and the electorate failed to protect our democratic republic.
It wasn't Democrats. It was us who dropped the ball by not supporting Democrats and we're doing it still!
There's no reason to ever assume that Trump is joking.
Hell, there's no documented evidence that he has ever laughed unless it was laughing at someone. He does not joke. He's not capable of that type of normal human behavior.
Rule-of-law DemocratI'm content that I did all I could to support Democrats defeating the GOP in 16, 18, 20, 22, & 24. I hope you'll consider doing the same.Started using Mastodon Jan. 7th, 2022.But, peradventure, it may be sagaciously urged, how is this?toots may just be hot air.Pronouns are he/himHe who dares not offend cannot be honest. ~ Thomas Paine I do #ClimateCrisis #JustSayin #ClimateProgress, #ClimateSolutions etc.
