I have a hard time coming up with a concrete understanding of hell, because the only times it's mentioned directly (mainly in the Gospels, IIRC), it's a fairly nebulous concept, and seems to be more of a cultural symbol or a cautionary tale than anything terribly literal.

But in contrast, the Lake of Fire (into which death and hell gets thrown (?!?)) seems a much more vivid and definite image.

I dunno!

I think in terms of a process that purges sin... I believe that's best referred to as grace and sanctification, and not really hell.

I don't think the bible gives us a picture of any place of eternal punishment being purifying or redemptive, sadly.

Perusing quickly, I don't see theres.life on there, or any instances being flagged because they're Christian.

I think we have to be really careful when we say things like "Leftists hate Christians." Yes, some do. Some of every political/ideological walk hate some of anything else.

But there's a very dangerous and sneaky fallacy when some Christians are criticized for things that people view evil (like supporting Trump, or persecuting LGBT people), and Christians view that as persecution.

Peter (or was it Paul?) says it's good to be treated badly for doing good, but if we're treated badly for doing evil, we have no room to cry foul.

The world doesn't hate American Christians because they love Jesus. Much of the world dislikes Christians for the simple reason that they percieve (wrongly or rightly, but SO often rightly) that Christians are jerks.

So let's not be jerks!!!!! :D

Now I want to see an ethernet variation of the USB killer that basically charges up a capacitor and then discharges it at once into the motherboard.

Ethernet doesn't supply as much current, but that just makes it more fun (random time delay)... kinda like an ethernet grenade. ;)

Interesting. I'm so sick of conservative christians using CRT as yet another bogeyman to rile people up and manipulate them.

That doesn't mean that the ideological underpinnings are great, but it's something to be understood and reasoned with, not feared.
