@dansup What I think is happening is that the button for home is getting activated underneath the comment input, so it briefly shows the top video of the home feed when the comment dialog crashes and returns you back to the original video you were trying to comment on.

@dansup I can view threaded comments, but the comments UI unfortunately crashes now with v.8 shortly after attempting to input from keyboard on Android. This bug is a regression from v7.

@dansup @loops What does this mean for people that might want to run their own loops server? What parts/services are necessarily centralized?

Still in pure admiration of the elderly man who stood up in church yesterday to say that he is a proud veteran whose wish for Veterans Day is that people will finally get it into their heads that war doesn't solve problems.

@dansup Can you please handle a scenario where an upload fails that the user can try again? I've had some video uploads fail to post this week with "Error".

Host your own stuff. Do it with open source software. If a way to do that doesn't exist yet for you, then make a way so it can happen for you and for others. You want to do something about big tech and big government? Start with you, and then show the next person how to do it, too.

I took an US #immigration class in grad school and here are four of the major takeaways that have stuck with me:

* The people who come from 1-4th generation immigrants tend to be more opposed to immigration. The longer the family line in the US, the more open tending to immigration
* Most immigrants are skilled workers
* Most people who are here illegally arrived legally and overstayed their visa
* Many immigrate to places that previously occupied or were at war with the country they emigrate
