@peertube Is it actually possible to log into an account with your app? The wording in the app says you can but there's no button to do so. (Also, there's inconsistent wording throughout it)...
@rl_dane Only in the US. Early 80s was cooler here for experiencing the home computer revolution! (Or so I believe, I wasn't around until the late 80s. By the 90s, computers were passé and in schools we were taught how to use Microsoft Office, whereas in the 80s, with computers new and exciting, those interested learnt programming on BBC Bs (and possibly electronics too - the BBC B was a Swiss army knife computer and could be customised for any task)!) @amin
@grunfink I got a fatal error (though snac stayed running) when I tried out the `/share` function: `output message: fatal error https://[SCRUBBED]/shared-inbox -60`. What's errorcode -60?
@brad The fedi software I've found easiest to poke around coding in is #snac2, because of how clearly written and documented it is: @grunfink has done such a great job! @loren
@inthehands Search is pretty limited and the few independent players aren't as useful for a lot of things, but AI could level the playing field... ...By making the content of the big players so bad it doesn't matter what search engine you use, you'll still get rot! I guess we'll be going back to curated site directories for most things but that won't help for error messages...
In the meantime, what do you think of Mojeek? I've found them useful on occasion.
@lanodan The PocketChip has a tiny screen, but you said no handheld stuff, so I guess 1024x768. Unless of course you allow stuff like my Cambridge Z88...?
@goatsarah Or you can hang out on the public timelines and interact with people there, then when you get into some good conversations, you know who to follow! Same goes for hashtag timelines for interests!
