@mirabilos @cj And I mean, people give commentary anyway. Their links are often accompanyed by "I can't believe it!" or "This can't be happening!" or something like that. Why not just add a few more words to make those comments more constructive? That's all it takes, really.

AO3 does this thing where when you review a story and the author replies to you, your email will include your review so you know exactly what they're responding to. I thought this was strange at first, but now I wish everyone did it. I just got a reply to a Youtube comment, a rare event in itself, and they seemed to answer a question I don't remember asking, and I kinda want to click on it to see what I said exactly, but I don't want to watch the video again.
