@nyx @JaneDough re: psychoactive, aren't all sex steroids highly psychoactive? isn't this a big part of why we keep using them? ^^

@nyx @JaneDough it works orally too, which is how i've been doing it (can't snort the gel cap oily liquid lol. tho i tried crunching on it). make sure to do it on an empty stomach. works quite well IME

@nyx @JaneDough oh, worth mentioning that with this much prog in you, some will be metabolized to androgens via the "backdoor androgen pathway" which, after careful examination, was most of why i was doing it in first place; have touched barely any since getting back on t

@nyx @JaneDough p4 is metabolized to allopregnanolone which is GABAergic, which is how you get these effects

@nyx @JaneDough the more you take the more extensive of a blackout you get, generally; given how quickly tolerance rises, you get into heavy blackout territory fast
i've never done anything concerning on it (the one major complaint i got was that the code i wrote was incomprehensible to the person watching it) but that might be a me thing

@nyx @JaneDough it is 100% a result of prog, i have very extensive experience with anretrograde amnesia on it. it's temporary, benzo-like, and largely self-limiting IME.
annoyingly, had to deal with it recently in a hospital after someone i considered a friend screwed me over, i think they've never seen anything like it because they were baffled lol

In case you're curious how you connect that to the wall...

@nyx @JaneDough (i would say there are some similarities to opioids but the latter have none of the memory effects at high doses; i would personally not draw a strong link between the two)

here are four EPROM cells. the critical element is a transistor (circled) that has a floating gate -- a control electrode with no external connection! modern flash memories also use floating gates, but the construction is quite different.

it's somewhat upsetting how many features of arm instructions i can now decode by looking at them

@timonsku USB related; the mouse is Bluetooth. I think it happens when graphics stuff occurs because just looking at an animated gif in a browser does the same
but also, why is cpython not susceptible to it

@rakslice the usual rotation of the data, but note that when you're in Debug mode and running at debug speed, the core ignores the pointer in R0 and asks you via JTAG what to put there
so having it transposed is _weird_

@krono @cfbolz in general on this workload (libusb via ctypes + some array mangling + asyncio) pypy is doing a lot worse than cpython; worse latency even when warm, worse CPU%, worse throughput when handling lots of small packets
i'm surprised. unfortunately not easy to reproduce since you need (commercially available) custom hardware
