@tauon @tootadmin on the contrary, the "openslopware" repository was created as a personal vendetta against one specific transfem, which you can see for yourself if you look at the initial commit

@hennichodernich @q3k at the time when i made the device it was somewhat immature but definitely usable for simple projects; I do not know the real extent to which it has progressed since

@skrzyp hmhm
so amaranth docs are written for and built with sphinx, with interlinks to API docs and such; that's why it has to be in ReST
consider how many of the existing e.g. stdlib modules have large guide-style docs https://amaranth-lang.org/docs/amaranth/latest/stdlib/data.html

@skrzyp for better or worse, the tutorial needs to plug into existing documentation so it will be done in (sigh) ReST

@skrzyp I mean that's essentially the plan, I have "write an Amaranth tutorial" scheduled for 2026H1 and this is just one way of doing it

@q3k I think an important piece of information here is "who is the target audience?"
my target audience for the discount bin gameboy above was "software developers who want to get their feet wet"; yours seems to be "embedded developers wanting to get into FPGAs specifically"

i'm playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance because i watched some youtube clips and it had fun dialogue options, but what i'm getting instead is a _really_ in-depth history lesson about Czech nobility from a thousand years ago

@q3k it's a stock Tang Nano in a case with a few buttons attached
there's no IO broken out
the buttons are literally on the photo, but it doesn't have anything else (the LEDs are kinda visible thru the back I guess)

@q3k (i built several of these prototypes and tried to argue for ChipFlow to distribute them as a learning aid, but it went nowhere)
