Been blocking HN on all my devices. It’s so much nicer not having to read that website ever. I got into the nasty habit of opening it by default on new tabs. Used to be Slashdot. Banished that too. Too many fucking ads on Slashdot now.

I’ve had a website for over 30 years which is an awful long time I suppose.

I’m trying to move all my websites to my main website and that’s ultimately entirely static so while I use Ghost today to push pages and posts to 11ty, I can stop at any time and have a perfect copy of my site as-is.

I have no idea if anything on my website will be useful in the future but perhaps someone will find it quaint.

@Crissy LinkedIn is the only thing I use and as soon as I get a job I’ll go back to ignoring it again because it is ghastly and full of awful people pushing their agenda at me because they paid.

That said I don’t expect to keep my profile here for a long time either.

@chimbosonic Yeah but it seems like people are gaining access to these systems and I’m guessing the salts are being stored right there. There has to be a better way.
