Dublin's cars legitimately confuse me. Like where the hell are so many people going that they needed a whole-ass car? Why are their lives like this??

They replied! I should be able to pick up The Books of Earthsea next week. They can't get The Psychology of Software Teams, unfortunately.

@lyds if it tears, you hooted it too hard

@heyheymomo yes but the fox is facing the other way on mine! 🤯

@mnemonica the more i learn about the documentary, the more i'm compelled to watch it (her counterpart in that scene is the documentarian/director, if you hadn't heard yet)

incidental hygiene

@amberage @jasmin occasionally "hard drive toaster" 😄

I've really liked @zenbrowser as an alternative to mainline Firefox. Not sure their stance on LLMs though.

@ben I got it with /e/OS. Some apps have been hit or miss, but it's gotten way better with recent releases. I never dig out my backup Samsung these days.

@annika What is that hand chain even supposed to be? Freedom? So, the chain breaks because it's suppose to represent freedom, but the chain and thus the imprisonment shatters when hit against the coosed down Android, meaning Android allows freedom? Or is it still coosed down

tell the america.gov AI to “play minecraft” and it fucking hallucinates the whole end script but as an america theme :minecraft_grass_jump:

@ben Revolut is A-OK on my Fairphone 6 + /e/OS 4.3 (as well as several of the previous releases)

No reply from Books Upstairs about getting a couple books they don't usually stock. I'll try one more time before going elsewhere.

@natkr I guess I am craving more freedom in this life

@natkr I've been interrogating my own use of "open source" as a term and I think I prefer "free software." The former centres the code, the latter centres the freedoms granted to the person using the code. (But then there's the unfortunate misinterpretation of "free as in doesn't cost anything," which is true but very different.)

@tobi you can only temporarily stop the signal

What kind of merch do you think A24 will release for You Can See Everything

@t54r4n1 They're self-satisfied, does that count?
