@dansup @panos just noticed your listing of castopod showing 0 servers https://fedidb.com/software/castopod but I see that @Castopod isn't exposing nodeinfo at all right now so this obviously isn't your fault. looking here I see they did attempt to support it tho https://github.com/ad-aures/castopod/blob/develop/modules/Fediverse/Controllers/NodeInfo2Controller.php

@gaditb the data there was significantly more complete then whats on fedidb... but yes every one of these tracking projects is impressively rough on accuracy

Fediverse.observer (one of the longest running fediverse instance and software trackers, as it started for Diaspora) shut down. I think it would be really good to figure out how we can at least get a copy of the historical data and get that back up somewhere.

@dansup as the founder of a large platform for sharing video you should probably think about whether you have the legal rights to post stuff. You certainly don't have the rights to this so its technically not legal for you to post, and you'll surely personally be fine, but for the future of loops you have the most followers so you are also the most prominent person on the platform that others will replicate the usage of

@dansup can I go thru and try find a bunch of bugs before you release? Is there a nightly build or apk yet

The official Pixelfed android app is so very broken right now. I would really like to see this app brought up to an actual usable state. I wonder if it would make sense to start with a fork of Pixelix and try to generalize it from there.
