Apr 16 @ 04:24 - Up at 02:30 today, that's what I get for going to bed so early! Got my 4 hours of sleep 🙄 though hahaha! I'm sure to be going back to bed when I get home from my MRI. The last time I had this test, it was literal torture that left me all-but-totally-bedbound for 2 weeks. So you can imagine my joy at having it again 🙄. Anyway, I checked our weather report and it will either be 70°F or 61°F, depending on which number turns out to be correct 🙄. (I'm having a blast with these eye-rolls this morning hahaha!) We'll also find out what's going on with the bus at some point but I'm not going to think much about that until after I'm out of the machine and, hopefully, on my feet. (I'll update my health page later.) So that's pretty much all that's on my mind this morning, Tuesday Titters won't happen until later but that will give me something to look forward to. Got some pork belly out of the freezer for later too, something else to look forward to! So I'm going to go get rolling (besides just my eyes hahaha!) and will see you later - happy Tuesday, friends❣️✝️👩🦳+🙄
@fuat2mb Hi brother! I like hearing from people that it makes them happy, mostly. My plan has always been to show the positive things in life and offer clean entertaining content as well to share the aspects of my world with the people who want to know...and getting feedback that someone was blessed, or had a good laugh on a bad day, or got a boost of hope, that gives me a thrill and keeps me going and filled with enthusiasm. I pray that God will lead people there who need to see what He gives me to share - that's a privilege and pure joy! Great question, brother, and I appreciate the nudge to give it some thought before answering!
Apr 05 @ 20:47 As suspected, I slept much of the day. Didn't do a whole lot. Tomorrow I am making no plans so that I can catch up on some stuff - and there is a LOT! I usually spend 5-6 hours working on my site/moderating/projects every day; this week it was rare I even got 2 hours to work. So I am way behind and I hate that feeling. Mostly it's my projects that suffer, I can do an acceptable minimum of work on my sites, and moderate for shorter times here and there throughout the day on my phone. And, of course, I need keyboard and parrot time too! That's my plan - after a good night's sleep - maybe after at least a short time making some music...yet tonight? Anyway, getting my evening update done early tonight in case I fall asleep again because really, do any of us know what the future holds? Definitely miss the kids though, and ready to see them again on Sunday! AND as I look around I am applauding the wisdom of Miss Emma who, when we talked about steam cleaning the carpet last week, suggested we might want to wait until AFTER the grands' visit hahaha! OH MY!!! I think I just realized I forgot to update today's Video!!! There was a lot going on this morning as I had slept late, and kids had to gather up belonging scattered far and wide, and pack things up, and clean things up, etc...so it's not really a surprise, I was struggling just to keep them organized and on track (when I can rarely do the same for myself)...anyway, I'm sorry about that! And now I'm going to go and visit my keyboard whilst I drink my evening tea, good night friends❣️🙏🥱
Dec 12 @ 22:23 (Oh if I'd only been one minute earlier...!) As predicted, it was a long day! I drove about 160 miles, all told. Pete had his oncology appointments (it's a good distance from home so they schedule both for the same day every month) while I waited in the car, we went to Culver's to eat in the car between them, then drove from West Branch down to Bay City to return the borrowed wheelchair to the Council on Aging office. Then an hour to get home. After being in the car all of that time I was ready to get my legs elevated and my spine repositioned so I've been propped in pillows on the bed ever since! Now it's bedtime, no plans to go anywhere tomorrow so I hope to get some things done around here, if God lets me get up and around. It was a great day spent with my Petey though, as these trips always are - just can't get enough time with my beloved! I hope your week is off to a good start as well, I will see you tomorrow❣️
Oh yes! My first meal today is quite a pleasant surprise!
Ya know those 90-second microwave "breads" that have been around forever? I wanted toast, so I was going to make one. But I just didn't want the almond flour, so I subbed it with a 1:1:1 mix of green-can-parm, pork panko, and whey protein instead, to carnivore it up. SUPERB!
But wait! There's more! I "toasted" (fried) it in some leftover burger fat from last night...and then melted butter over it. WOW! I can't wait to try it in duck fat. Or bacon fat.
WOW!
(I can't' find my phone or I'd attach a pic. Next time.)
@Aslanmane I'm not sure, but I think it's a social media thing for sure. But I agree. On social media people tend to take things way too seriously. If I have a deep relationship or friendship with someone who knows me well, as I would know them, then mutual consideration of hurtful topics is absolutely a necessity. Here we are sharing our own stuff, to groups of people, not to a single person - we can't be expected to know everyone's hot buttons or sensitivities, and for anyone to expect us to is silly - it isn't about one person, it's about what we're sharing, and to whom - a "crowd". If I'm going to make an issue of my feelings in that situation it is inconsiderate to the one who is sharing their feelings, since it isn't about me; I just shrug, mute, and move on when someone cares enough to share something that is good for them but not for me.
@fuat2mb Such great creative parenting! And teaching empathy too I see, she's considering the feelings/needs/desires of others which is great for such a young child...so cool!
UGH, whole afternoon wasted...I believe an extreme solution is called for here. Delete my #Nextcloud from my server completely and just dump all of my files onto a separate drive for backup (leaving the originals on one of my hard drives of course).
