    You never have to pay them more than like $60 if you stay one step ahead of them.

    For those of you wondering how my Grandma is doing after I helped her set up her NAS, rest assured she’s doing great.

    She emails me every now and then and asks me to explain what kinds of photos and videos count against her google photos storage.

    I don’t think she uses it.

    As I understand it, those of us already on a subdomain don't need to worry about this since the vulnerability only affects instances on the root domain correct?

    Jack is pushing nostr to do this too by the way.

    I think this is a big mistake. What made FB and Twitter and Youtube cool once upon a time was that they didnt run on advertisements or charge anything.

    Once they started doing that, things went downhill. I feel like this is going to turn individuals into advertisers.

    Im trying to be very vocal about my opinion on this. But I dont want to come off as rude. So forgive anything that might sound harsh.

    But then every other dev making fedi software did it. And masto users began to complain.

    Tbh. I wont really be surprised if he kinda breaks this function for the other devs. But, Im hoping he wont.

    I really think that if more people compared features for fedi softwares, there would be less people signing up for :mastodon: . :comfyshrug:
