One of the best articles I have read from Paul #Krugman

It explains how #Trump not only has betrayed the world's trust, but also dismantled US #science. Other countries take over while he also threw America’s system of #alliances in tatters. The USA lost the power they had via strategic partnerships.

This week Trump starts his next fight with China, while within a year, America has become more vulnerable to a rupture than #China.

A judge on Monday lifted the Trump administration’s order to halt construction of Revolution Wind, a massive offshore wind energy project that would power hundreds of thousands of homes in Rhode Island and Connecticut.

The Interior Department confirmed the order will allow construction to resume at the site.

Except for pranks, I do not believe that happens. And pranks cannot be prevented in any situation. If a man wants to enter the women's toilet, he can claim to be the cleaner. That is just as fictitious.

They form the vast, vast majority, but people are born with different DNA combinations.

Getting upset about something that only a very tiny edge of the population would ever be confronted with is also monumentally stupid.

Rallying people over something that would never happen to them, so that they become afraid that their kids will be converted at school.

Schools with litterboxes for kids who want to claim that they are cats? Another hoax to get people riled up. As if something like that would be school policy.

When I look at a person, I never look at anything surgical. I look at how they dress, their style of hair, their make-up, their way of walking and their behaviour.

And in my experience, there is no way that you would not see the difference between transwomen and men.

I disagree that there is no way to distinguish transwomen from men.

Transition is a long and difficult process. During that time, people inside that process are deeply emotionally affected while they prepare for a life that fits them more.

They do not want to stand out. Most of them hate drawing attention and therefore try to fit in as much as possible when they are among women.

Opinions about transwomen are more formed by prejudice than based on actual experiences.

Was he disturbed during his activities, or did his wife complain to him?

The chances of any woman actually meeting and recognising a transwoman in a female-only space are so small that it is hard to believe that it happened to his wife.

I feel that all Mastodon Administrators should have an option to place a non-intrusive (rotating) banner on their instance.

As in this case, it can be used to make users aware that funding is welcome for stability.

But I can also imagine that it is a way to attract some income from other parties. If their users do not like it, then those users can move to another instance that does not do that.

I would think positively about parties that support my instance.

In a few months, we moved from 'everybody in the #USA is protected by due process', to 'nobody is protected'. Not even US citizens.

Particularly, the shipping of people to prisons abroad is horrifying. That could be life sentences for your neighbours.

I think that you underestimate how pliable people are and how much they will simply follow orders.

Most of the people running the Nazi camps were just like us and our neighbours.
