At least 320 dead or wounded Palestinians have been brought to hospitals across the enclave in a particularly bloody 48 hours.
Many of the dead and injured arrived with third-degree burns caused by internationally banned weapons like thermal bombs.
“These weapons cause chemical substances to interact with the skin and directly cause chemical corrosion of the tissues in the bodies of the martyrs and the injured. They also cause severe pain.” @palestine #Gaza #wounded #children #casualties
In a little over 24 hours, we’ve witnessed three atrocities committed in the Gaza Strip. The latest was at a UN-run school in Nuseirat refugee camp.
The vast majority of the critically injured arrived here at Al-Aqsa Hospital. We’ve seen some of the most horrific wounds on those who’ve been rushed into operating theatres to try and save their lives. We’re talking about 70 wounded people.
Women and children make up the majority of victims brought to the hospital.

More than 10 children per day, on average, have lost one or both of their legs in Gaza since the start of the war.
We in the Gaza Strip have not lived such difficult and bitter days in every sense of the word. Unfortunately, there are no signs of Eid. There is only sadness and a pang in our hearts. My children are sad.
In addition to the crimes of premeditated killings, arbitrary arrests, and targeting of civilians, the Israeli military operation in Jabalia has resulted in massive destruction.
A field inspection of the conditions in the Jabalia camp after the Israeli withdrawal revealed that not a single residential building was spared from bombing, bulldozing, or burning operations.
Palestinians are under a mass #surveillance. When a Palestinian's rating rises above a certain threshold, Israeli intelligence officers add them to the kill list.
"Attacking women and children while they cower in their shelters [read: tents] in Rafah is a monstrous atrocity. We need concerted global action to stop Israel’s actions now."
