I always think we need more democracy, not less, but this means a lot more than just voting, though that is an essential and necessary piece.
For me, democracy means a result that is good for all the people, and that they, the people, have not just choices but make "informed" choices.
For more and more democracy, I think it best to stay involved and support the democratically minded. Who is democratically minded? You'll know them by their pro people behavior. Btw it is antinazi.

The attempt to be the definer of what is right or wrong, sin or not sin, is a veiled attempt to take power and control over others.
Born into religion, as a child it seemed strange to be able to confess sins, say some prayers, summon up feelings of repentence, then go on and "be forgiven." Other than genuine regret for harm, learning, and committment to improve, there was the ideology, and the ideology was and is pure bullshit.

The only good thing about the worst case scenario for 2024 is that many more of us, perhaps the vast majority, will be able to identify with what marginalized groups have been going through forever, that is, once we all experience more real and direct oppression.
The bad thing is the power to ever do something about it will be lost. Let's learn to appreciate the struggles of others and act preventively.
