The attempt to be the definer of what is right or wrong, sin or not sin, is a veiled attempt to take power and control over others.

Born into religion, as a child it seemed strange to be able to confess sins, say some prayers, summon up feelings of repentence, then go on and "be forgiven." Other than genuine regret for harm, learning, and committment to improve, there was the ideology, and the ideology was and is pure bullshit.

The ideology aids and abets harm.
