Isn't it rich?
Are we a pair?
Me here at last on this platform,
You not there
Send in the hashtags.Just when I'd stopped
Opening messages,
Finally knowing
The one that I wanted was yours,
Making my presence online again
With my usual flair,
Sure of my lines,
No one is there. And where are the hashtags?
Quick, send in the hashtags.
Don't bother - they're here. -

@crispius @lednaBM H.P. Lovecraft would agree, but of course that way, leads to existential dread & madness.
Once atheists accept the meaninglessness of it all, and stop trying to take the moral high ground, they will be at ease. There is no moral high ground, only the illusion of humans wishing there was some eternal standard of justice, love, good and evil. -

Our brains are hardwired to find pattern and construct a system of survival. We need to find meaning, because it helps us navigate the reality of the physical environment.
We impose meaning that is not there, societal structures, institutions, belief systems, and philosophies. These are all human values and wishes that centre on our survival, both as individuals and as part of larger groups. The universe doesn't care. All beliefs are malarkey in terms of the universe.
