   I always think we need more democracy, not less, but this means a lot more than just voting, though that is an essential and necessary piece.

   For me, democracy means a result that is good for all the people, and that they, the people, have not just choices but make "informed" choices.

   For more and more democracy, I think it best to stay involved and support the democratically minded. Who is democratically minded? You'll know them by their pro people behavior. Btw it is antinazi.

     @chris @soc_i_ety Democracy is for everyone, when people and their views get left behind or neglected that is undemocratic. Nationally democracy ensures all people have a say of how the country is run. When these values are not upheld a country becomes undemocratic.

     Is your democracy ideal ideological or actual democracy where the people can vote and the chips fall where they may? Is your democracy code/euphemism or fact?

     I believe this is the challenge, as legislation is so difficult to repeal and is generally not what people actually want. We have the Princeton study (linked below) which supports this. Ultimately democracy is used as a tool of division for oligarchical control; it is far easier to disburse blame upon your fellow citizens than the elected officials.
     >"A proposed policy change with low support among economically elite Americans (one-out-of-five in favour) is adopted only about 18% of the time," they write, "while a proposed change with high support (four-out-of-five in favour) is adopted about 45% of the time."
     >When a majority of citizens disagrees with economic elites and/or with organised interests, they generally lose.      @caekislove @chris @soc_i_ety @AAA365a @BowsacNoodle It's not even that, it's that the central premises that you're fed about it aren't even true. You don't get a free open exchange of ideas and information with people making up their own minds, and even if you did the "democracy makers" (jewish oligarchs, etc.) just openly admit they don't like or want that so they do censorship and feed the public only what they want the public to see.
     
     There are also other issues related to this, like that everyone could do that even under ideal conditions where you don't have race war going on. Even if you assumed the entire population was smart enough on the genetic level to see all available arguments, info etc. and make up their own mind about what is in their interest and long-term well-being, not everyone has enough time to be an amateur economist, philosopher etc.
     
     Today's "democracies" are fake and stage-managed for the outcomes desired by a shadow oligarchy. That's why even the definiton of it doesn't make sense, like when they'll say people who don't want to be overrun by infinite niggers immigration are "undemocratic." Democracy is theoretically suppoed to be about the specific demos, or people, having some great degree of self-determination and sovereingty. Not about stuffing niggers into a territory and using them to take away that people's self-determination and sovereignty and then do away with that specific people.

     @gucciloafers @BowsacNoodle @chris @soc_i_ety @AAA365a Basically, "Democracy" only works when everyone is watching the same TV programs and reading the same newspapers. In other words, humans are herd animals with little to no real agency.

     @BowsacNoodle @AAA365a @chris @soc_i_ety Basically the only time people get what they "want" in modern "democracies" is when the people who own all of the means of mass disseminating propaganda have used these means to hoodwink them into thinking that it's somehow good. It almost never has anything to do with their interests and long-term well-being.
     
     It's a shadow oligarchy where ownership of mass media and ability to censor are what rules, not any kind of genuine "let the people see and hear all of the info and arguments and make up their own mind," which is the conceit of these systems. We know this because these very same people who claim democracy is so great will then also argue that censorship is a must because some people and their ideas are "Dangerous For Are Democracy, goyim."
