@cwebber@social.coop I was looking at a few products on Amazon today. I noticed that, for various products, the product description on the page itself contradicts itself in several places. First it is described as having feature X, then Y, then X again, then Z, and then Y once more. I think it would be a good task for an AI to check such self-contradictory pages and flag any inconsistencies. This is particularly relevant for very large websites such as Amazon, Wikipedia or GrokiPedia. However, proponents of AI seem to prefer letting their software do things for which it is unsuitable, whilst completely ignoring tasks for which it is actually well-suited. @mttaggart@infosec.exchange

@lechimp@pub.solar Netzsperren? In einer Mastodon-Installation sind viele Signaturen enthalten, die nicht mehr funktionieren würden, wenn die Instanz die Domain wechseln würde. Eine Netz-Sperre ist für Mastodon also eine existentielle Bedrohung. Andererseits: In der Mastodon Server Software ist die Möglichkeit enthalten, die Instanz auch über das Tor-Netzwerk zu erreichen - muss nur durch den Server Admin aktiviert werden. Eine Netzsperre kann so unterlaufen werden. User loggen sich via Tor ein, die Instanz föderiert via Tor. Die Domain wird nur pro forma existieren, muss aber nicht konnektiert sein.

@tdp_org@mastodon.social @dansup@mastodon.social @hejchristian@mastodon.social The files (mp4, h264, 8bit color model) are 38 MB. they are accepted for upload. it is possible however that the "optimizing" step enlarges them. but why? they are already in exactly rhe format that other files downloaded from loops already have. no optimizing required. bevor the server update the very same files had err 422. other versions of the files get uploaded, but never show up in loops without any error message.all uploads with webbrowser/studio.

Von guten Managern wird erwartet, dass sie deligieren und dass sie nicht mikromanagen. Wer überstunden macht, ist nicht als manager geeignet. Punkt. Dann ist es eine alte Erkenntnis der arbeitsmedizin, dass menschen 6 stunden am tag konzentriert arbeiten können, ab der 7. Stunde passieren so viele Fehler, dass die arbeit der ersten 6 stunden konterkariert wird. Das ist bei managern und politikern besonders fatal. Bereits Kaiser Wilhelm hat in Berlin das Arbeitssicherheitsmuseum errichtet, weil er genervt war, dass Menschen sich zu tode arbeiten (die brauchte er nämlich noch als Soldaten, um deutsche kolonien zu erobern, für "Deutschlands Platz an der Sonne" , ok, er hätte auch einfach den Ballermann kaufen können) und Bismarck hat die Sozialversicherungen eingeführt, weil es ihn genervt hat, dass die Arbeitsproduktivität abnimmt, wenn die männer 12 stunden am tag 7 tage die woche am fliessband stehen, statt die spülmaschine auszuräumen, den nagel in die wand zu klopfen, kinder zu zeugen und dann mit den kindern den zirkus besuchen.

Eine Instant Lösung könnte sein, auf Windows entweder in eine PDF-, EPS- oder Postscript-Datei zu drucken, diese auf das Smartphone zu übertragen und dann vom Smartphone zu drucken. Die erwähnten speziellen Einstellungen müssten sich in der Datei widerspiegeln, alle drei Formate abstrahieren vom Druckermodell und einige Drucker haben einen eingebauten Postscriptinterpreter.
