@doonxib A bad economy usually help military recruitment, because it is basically a guaranteed job. If the economy being bad is being cited as making recruitment *worse* then things are really bad.

At best, permaculture style can decrease the water requirements of growing food in the desert. So either you reduce the amount of water used to grow the same amount of food (hello Jevons Paradox) or you can grow more food for a given amount of water.

Don't worry, it will be masively worse here.

In the USSR there was somewhat decent public services in place that people could keep using (public transit, apartments, industry, etc.) and the people operating it were competent at doing so, if a bit "lazy" (they pretend to pay us so we pretend to work).

We've got none of that here and I expect as things collapse, that will get worse as the rulers try to run off with everything of value they can get their grubbly little hands on.

Bittorrent clients should have support for rss feeds built in, and not require a script to pull the latest feed and add the new torrents.

I suspect you are going to need the technicals running on wood gas to get those heads on pikes, after they are convicted by truely impartial juries and judges because the current ones have to go as they are corrupt and cover for government criminals and they aren't going to straighten themselves out. Unfortunately...

There is also the Fischer-Tropsch reaction that can use CO2 and H2 (use reverse water gas shift to get CO and H2).

    > Biden, the executive, dictating law

There's a straightforward solution to that: declare the action illegal and Unconstituitonal (because it is) and void it and everything it has allowed.

Unless I am mistaken, electricity is a government enforced and controlled monopoly and quasi-government organization. Every "utility" is this, at least in the US.

Attributing the failures of such an arrangement on "the free market" is extremely dishonest. So par for government.

Unfortunately, the instant that "Whites only" is put on paper and someone finds out about it is when the government or one of its NGO lackeys sues the company into the ground.

But it's a-okay when that same government puts govenment contract set asides for a set of races that deliberately excludes Whites into law.

    I hate this.

    > The Bureau of Land Management is giving geothermal energy exploration a categorical exclusion from environmental review under NEPA.

Good. Geothermal is baseload, non-variable renewable power. This is required to get away from depleting fossil fuels while retaining anything close to our current standard of living.

ChatGPT, if I understand roughly how it works, is an extension of Markov chain generators, with a neural network instead of a simple table of probabilities of word pairs.

Using a Markov chain generator trained on your own posts is a fun thing to do that makes a bot that sounds roughly like you , but is often hilariously wrong.

      Markov chain
A Markov chain or Markov process is a stochastic model describing a sequence of possible events in which the probability of each event depends only on the state attained in the previous event. Informally, this may be thought of as, "What happens next depends only on the state of affairs now." A countably infinite sequence, in which the chain moves state at discrete time steps, gives a discrete-time Markov chain (DTMC). A continuous-time process is called a continuous-time Markov chain (CTMC). It is named after the Russian mathematician Andrey Markov. Markov chains have many applications as statistical models of real-world processes, such as studying cruise control systems in motor vehicles, queues or lines of customers arriving at an airport, currency exchange rates and animal population dynamics. Markov processes are the basis for general stochastic simulation methods known as Markov chain Monte Carlo, which are used for simulating sampling from complex probability distributions, and have found application in Bayesian statistics, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, physics, chemistry, economics, finance, signal processing, information theory...
