@PurpCat real talk though I don't see how piracy hurts him. The people who would have pirated the product would have never bought it anyways. If anything wouldn't the piracy lead to occasionally someone just throwing money his way because they liked his product. His products 15 euros it's a drop in the bucket if someone likes his product they'll throw money at his glorified tip jar.

@PurpCat I still think the funniest part about Mac OS is the fact that had apple not snubbed Steam on Proton in 2017~. They'd probably be completely crushing Microsoft right now being able to play most games without any true effort on their part.
I don't think you can stop normies and the smartphone generation from paying enough attention to realize that running a random curl script is a bad idea without at least vetting it or making sure it's from a trustworthy source.

The butterfly keyboard is still one of the most retarded things ever. If anything I think Intel dropped the ball the most during 2017 when they didn't make more efficient chips and caused Apple to go Fine i'll do it myself to produce the M series processor to begin with.

@Rocket @deprecated_ii Unironically if someone was in electrical engineering and whatnot and had the resources to just make a cheap dumb phone.
You could probably make an absolute killing by getting a school board to ban all cellphones except for your mandated dumb phone that can only do talk and text, if parents wanted to be able to communicate with their kids while at school.
Since I believe schools are starting to look for a smartphone ban on top of removing laptops from the curriculum.

I have literal proof. Both my grandfather and grandma checked into a retirement home at the same time.
My grandfather died around 8 years in. My grandmother left the retirement home and moved back in with us.

@Hoss @7666 oh god I worked at a place that stocked baby formula. 3~ years after that event. Gosh the aftermath to that event was nuts because the people in china would get canadian baby formula imported to china. It was so bad people needed to ask a merchandiser to buy baby formula at a limit of 2. We could not leave it on the shelves.

Meanwhile capcom weirdly enough does somewhat make good on potentially making a new game in a series if a legacy collection does well.
NSO subscriptions only serve to line Nintendo's pocket as they sell you the ability to even access online features on the nintendo platform.

Honestly my litmus on if I just pirate a game outright or of I buy it now is honestly just will the money actually go to the developer to make more cool stuff, or will it just go to a corpo who only exists to increase shareholder value now that the window has long since closed. They also probably won't make more of a dead IP I like.
Press F for chibi robo, Nintendo killed the series with zip lash.
This is why I largely think buying used games for titles 10-20 years ago is stupid when you can just use a 3rd party tool to play it on hardware or emulate it.

Gnomes maintainera/developers went full retard and one of them had a blogpost saying framework now has hitler particles.
So here we are now with framework as the hecking nazi particles laptop brand.
Both DHH and Vaxry are on the shitlists of the troon menace because they won't entertain the troonshine fucking with opensource.

@phnt wait they sell the laptop out of region? Interesting. I bought one and I haven't had any complaints with my fw13 so far. Though I'm also in their operating region.
Didn't know that they actually would still sell laptops out of region without giving you the ability to buy parts.
