CrunkLord420Checking in on Neuralink patients. Was curious to see if the original guy was still operational, sounds like he is. There was concerns about his probes walking their way out, they had already lost connection on a lot of probes, sounded like they were using it as an experiment to see how well they can compensate in software. Apparently a known "flaw" to avoid using more invasive and permanent probes.
Noticed this other neuralink guy simping hard for Elon. I mean the dude is kinda Jesus for the quadriplegics.
@eriner I'm just recording the cursor against a white background. I didn't even have a task bar or anything, I guess it doesn't come it with by default? It's about as empty as it gets.
It's a test of input latency, not framerate. It's also running on a decently fast computer.
I generally believe physio is mostly something for people who have no experience with fitness. If you're an athlete, your stretching and warm up routines are usually the same as physio rehab routines prescribed for injury. You just need to be told what to do, and you should be able to just go home and do it unless you need a spotter for some reason. I rehabbed a minor shoulder injury on my own, that's why I know the rehab routines are the same.
He kinda admitted this, saying he needs someone there to "kick his ass". You don't actually need to spend a ton of physio unless it's like learning to walk again.
Apparently he separated his shoulder, breaking his collar bone connection. Ironically due to being hit by a car while on his bike on the way to HEMA sparring. This was 9 years ago. Now he's gotten fat, and claims to have a mild form of chronic fatigue syndrome. Despite this he seems to consistently put out videos to a shrinking audience.
Anyways, now he's selling his collection to pay for physio. His surgery is covered, but various other expenses are not. It's concerning to me that he has to raise funds to cover what will likely be less than $10k worth of expenses. What has he been doing with his fairly successful channel? Did he lose it all in dogecoin or something?
It's concerning that someone with such a long and reasonably successful YouTube career seemingly has nothing to show for it. Also concerning that he's waited 9 years to get this surgery, though he was told that it's basically a 50/50 shot of if it'll even improve anything. Then again, it's Canadian healthcare (bad) and try to discourage people getting proper treatment for rationing purposes.
