A reader's well-written review of a novel can push more copies than any effort performed of its writer or publisher. 99% of published books sell less than 100 copies...

    Boomers will complain about their industries dying and nobody being there to replace them while also providing zero educational pathway for youths to take the reigns once they retire. I've been looking at an industry with a shortage of human capital due to the main employee base retiring out and found that unless you're willing to travel hundreds of miles to one of the less than half-dozen technical schools still teaching the practice and spend thousands on overpriced government equipment consisting of an SBC and a screen, you'll have to be an autodictact and build the equipment yourself, filtering out 95% of potential apprentices. If I wasn't of a computer background born too late to ride the tech boom and looking for other industries to enter, I wouldn't have been able to "get in."
