British society, I feel, has this problem where they feel that an outward show of respectability excuses the actual content of the message or action. The British Museum comes to mind, whereby the center's status as a world-famous locale of global art has long overshadowed the atrocities done to steal that art. And you can definitely say the same about the US and Canada, to at least some degree.
Some days I feel that World War 2 would have been a very different matter, had the Nazis simply been more 'polite' about their acts.
All of which is just my long-winded way of saying, 'Great garters, how dare she be rude about the people she supports killing!'
