Look, do I think Bernie's 4 day work week is a *good* idea? Yes, I do.
However what would be a better idea is mass revolution, the appropriation of stolen wealth, the destruction of capitalism and the abolishment of "work" as we know it.
Is Bernie's plan going to let you put your boss on an ice floe and push it out to sea? I think not.

@AnarchoNinaWrites there are actually many things like this that we could implement that could make capitalism actually pretty bearable and somehow keep it going for a lot longer that will simply never happen because the bourgeoisie will simply refuse to cede a single thing at this point

@waitworry They're out of planet; that's really the entire motivator for the past 10-12 years worth of normalizing fascism, and gouging as much as they can before everything starts burning. This is the "smash and grab" phase of capitalism and mass extinction. I am pretty sure, anyway.

A four-day work week would give us the time and energy we need to come up with such a plan, though, and the wherewithal to implement it and not get caught.
Kind of why the whip-holders are so intent on it not happening.

I think the approach that the wobs had back in the fights for the 8 hr day still holds here. Cool and good, an opportunity to do even more organizing as part of the movement, and ultimately still not the end goal.
If nothing else, knocking a day off everyone's work week means one more day for people to organize against capitalism instead of working for it.
