   Buddy, everyone who does genocide and ethnic cleansing, calls it a "war." You're literally shouting nonsense on my TV from a country where ethno-nationalists are labelling migrants (caused BY US imperialism and American capitalist exploitation) a literal fucking "invasion."

   Just because you say it's so, does not make it true. This is not a war. It's mass murder.

     @AnarchoNinaWrites I hate how everyone tries to dress up their imperialism and self interest in these buzzwords and cultural touchstones (I always role my eyes at a mention of the ‘west’).

     Like, it’s pretty obvious that we are supporting Ukraine to drain Russian resources and will, and Israel as a military ‘ally’ in an unstable region, and that this is all done to try and soften the transition to a multi polar world as the engines of Empire start to fizzle. But they don’t actually say any of that and feed the populace propaganda do they think that they are the good guys, and not just a self sustaining parasite with a fancy flag.

     @sparkledragon5 @AnarchoNinaWrites General agreement but I would add I don't think the US is trying to soften anything.

     I think the US is trying to hold onto power (like most any other) and this *this* is how they are doing it. The multi polar world was always going to win (because that is reality) but now it is eating the US lunch, the US power structure TM can't take it and this is their death throws trying to keep a thing they never had.

     Doesn't take much to figure out why they use the term, either. Calling it a 'war' implies that it has two sides, and isn't just a million little murders. Calling it a 'war' implies that the oppressed, the victims, are fighting back in violent ways. Calling it a 'war' all so often implies that it can be, at all, justified.

     And if there's one thing these ghouls adore, it's self-justification.
