@deprecated_ii @Goalkeeper I saw some ads hyping the fuck out of her triumphant return to the Olympics. I just looked it up and she is 41. Not young but well past Olympic prime age for any intense physical sport. -

@CliffSecord @brokenshakles @Jonny @jeff They make industrial freeze dryers for the pharmaceutical industry that are about that size footprint, actually a little bigger and are at least 8 feet tall. Probably overkill and too expensive but there might be less intense options. They use them to remove moisture from ingredients prior to adding them to vials. -

@HockeyDoxie @DC5FAN @NotoriousDOG @Goalkeeper @KiKi88 @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @mitchconner @zeke @HonkHonkBoom @JoeBravo77 @KingOfWhiteAmerica @mjdigspigs @reallyangry I had "real" corned beef hash made inhouse in a fancy brunch place once, and it just didnt hit the same as the canned stuff. The chunks were like 4x as big. The canned stuff was better. -

@DC5FAN @HockeyDoxie @NotoriousDOG @Goalkeeper @KiKi88 @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @mitchconner @zeke @HonkHonkBoom @JoeBravo77 @KingOfWhiteAmerica @mjdigspigs @reallyangry The "real" stuff was pretty much course diced potatoes and shreds of corned beef. I think it's best when everything is fine diced, well mixed and cooked on a griddle until it's all a little crispy. 🤤 -

@deprecated_ii Check out the abiogenic oil creation theory. Basically it's the theory that petroleum is generated in the mantle of the earth instead of it being the remains of dead plant and animal matter. -

@Aly @Humpleupagus @AdolfoHitlero I heard a story that Jackie handed the doctors at the hospital a piece of JFK's brain, and they kind of looked at her and said thank you we'll take it from here. She was probably in shock. -

@deprecated_ii @DireGoy I believe you, but for the life of me I cannot think of a reason a company would post job openings and conduct interviews with no intent to hire. Is it just to give their HR team something to do? Are they just seeing what is out there in the talent pool? -

@NoDoxGregBrady @Dudebro @feralphilosophernc @caekislove @SaintTuck @Gab_Refugee @dictatordave @givenup @sickburnbro With the dynamic braking and in some cases regenerative breaking, modern diesel electric trains are actually more efficient than their steam counterparts. Even without the benefits of better braking options modern diesel engines are a bit more efficient than steam engines. This is why most modern ships use diesel or diesel electric plants over steam. With steam you end up dumping a huge amount of heat into the condenser just to make the whole cycle work. Stationary power plants are primarily still steam because of the scale involved.
