   This is where the system of paying for a product or service and expectation of a gratuity is so fundamentally wrong. The price should include whatever "loading" is required to ensure the employees are paid a fair wage, and any gratuity should be for exceptional service.

     @Glassjaw @KK954 @fuknukl When I used to go out to eat, I would tip if the service was good. If it wasn't, I didn't tip. Now it is expected, no matter how the service is. I don't like that at all. Why should I give even a penny of my money to someone who does a poor job?
     It reminds me of participation trophies.

     Now it's practically demanded.
     It makes no sense that people must be given a tip for simply doing their job.

     I absolutely hate the idea of tipping. Now it shows up everywhere with these ipad pay terminals now. Just pay your employees and leave me out of it.
     I buy groceries I pay and leave; I buy take out food and I'm supposed to tip - why?
