    @sun It was a really cool site while it lasted and it felt like it was more true to the idea of what an NFT should be than what those jackasses at OpenSea were doing. It's too bad what happened to Ubiq, but Bittrex going under made it inaccessible to a lot of us.

    I don't know if I could ever truly come around to that line of thinking, but holy shit, that line is making a strong case for it.

    @ooignignoktoo @coolboymew @Hoss @apropos @c Easy. They were smaller, more tight-knit teams of people that loved games and made stuff for other people that loved games. They had pride in what they made. Modern devs put the game itself second at best and the teams are bloated bureaucracies and for every person that actually wants to make a good game, you have five that either want to bloviate about their political beliefs or stomp the last egg out of the golden goose so they can use "maximizing value" as a resume padder when they fuck off to a more reputable industry.

    @cell A friend of mine sometimes dogsits one and it's honestly one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. I guess it depends on the dog and how it's raised. There's no way you're going to get it to do anything unless it already wanted to, either way. They're kind of catlike.

    @hj @coolboymew @why It won't happen. Right now it's like the tech industry, a bunch of sick men on the top consuming everything they can see in hopes that someone else's ideas will stop the bleeding (spoiler: they won't). The amount of nostalgia for the 360-era Xbox Live means someone is going to have a good opportunity to try to fill that void, but I don't trust any of the three console makers to, and Nintendo and their begrudging attitude towards online play the least of the three.
