    It's a pokemon go clone. But Nomura hates walking so he made it so you don't have to go for walks to make progress in the game. So the core genre is mechanically irrelevant.
    It's also in development hell for no known reason. There was a closed beta 6 months ago, and a 2024 release date, and radio silence since then. The closed beta didn't seem to have any problems, so the game is either being completely reworked, or has been cancelled, or something else entirely.

    It seems like a game that the players don't want to play, the developers don't want to make, and the publisher doesn't really care to advertise/produce. It's hard to think of a game that doesn't have at least SOMEONE pushing for its release. Any hype surrounding this game is like a reluctant shrug of "I guess I'll check it out idk"

    @coolboymew it wouldn't be an issue if it were spinoff or noncanon, but as usual with KH every game is canon and necessary to understand the story. your choices are to either suffer through the mobile slop, or be confused about a dozen characters who will show up in KH4 with no introduction
