@sleepingnevi@RustyCrab Doesn't exist, will never exist. Even windows can't always get away from the terminal when shit is broken. However, when shit is that broken on windows it's easy for a normalfag to buy a new windows pc. It's not nearly as easy for them to get a linux pc.
@toiletpaper@sun@PNS The government is part of the problem. Immigrants are part of the problem. Indians are definitely also part of the problem.
It is well founded racism against indians that's finally getting people to stand up and (I hope) be racist against all the rest of the motherfuckers that have been imported as well. Indians are just easy to point at as an example of the problem.
@toiletpaper@PNS@sun Both shouldn't be here and both need to go. That and you've been quite lucky in the indians you've met. Must have been the more servile ones. I'll pray it stays that way. Hopefully someday soon you won't have to deal with groups of muslims or indians.
@sun@wolf480pl IA was reckless, but I also want these publishing houses burnt to the ground. So anything that attempts to erode their control over books is to be enjoyed. Even if it's not advisable for the entity in question.
@sickburnbro Then don't use a post advocating for a measurement system to rail against measurement system. Notice how I never disagreed with your point of celsiuis putting science over human experience. I said all of them do that. Your screenshot to support your idea was a stupid one to choose.
@sickburnbro That's a stupid fucking arguement for Fahrenheit and you know it. Fahrenheit was made by a science nerd for science nerd things and the scale was determined so he could easily draw all the lines between freezing and body temperature easily by bisecting intervals. What 0F and 100F lands has nothing to do with being naturally intuitive.
If you want to make appeals to tradition and nature about your measurements systems, the things you use to describe your world, don't bother. They are all created artifically and defined arbitraily by their creators for whatever nerd science and/or bookkeeping shit they were doing. Calling any measurement beyond "it's hot" or "it's cold" natural is just cope.
@BowsacNoodle@SuperSnekFriend Also, if you're still considering an iphone, think about how much you plan to immerse yourself in the apple ecosystem. The experience is severly degraded if you aren't completely bought in. But the integration bewteen different devices within the ecosystem is beyond what you'll find anywhere else.
Honestly though, if samsung hadn't been being such ass lately I would suggest a Note just for the big screen and pen. Really nice to have a precision tool for taking notes or abusing your phablet of a phone to do things you really should on a computer.
@sun Planning out hypothetical acts of distruption and sabatoge is always fun. Helps you find the weak points in your local utilities and supply chain too! Good info for disaster situations.
@sun >"What is the punishment for protesting?" >"10 years" >"What is the punishment for rioting and beating people in the streets?" >"10 years" The pot has been boiling for a long time and the pressure just keeps increasing. These riots are the last chance to take off the lid before the whole damn thing explodes.
@idiot@arcana@sun The idea that mostly replying and not starting threads is bad is fucking stupid. How the fuck would you have active discussion in any threads at all if most people weren't leaning harder on replies over OPs on their posting ratio.
To be honest though, I thought reply guys were the people that are always posting brainless replies as fast as possible whenever a popular figure posts. E.g. those idiots who made their living replying to Trump 30 seconds after every twitter post of his.
@graf@sickburnbro@sun I guess the better way to put it is they are acting as publishers rather than platforms then. So far they haven't been going in an directly removing the nigger words but forcing you to do it yourself before posting. Since their doing this well beyond the bounds of keeping illegal content off the site they are making active editorial decisions in what is being published. Thus, editorializing.
This change to active insert ads within pieces of media uploaded by users is just the next step. The next step is changing you posts after you've made them without your consent (see also, reddit admins)
@graf@sickburnbro@sun I would call the content moderation policies of all the major social media sites well past the line of editorialization at this point.
@sun@neo@hakui@not_benis@romin Kids are floppy and bounce off hard surfaces. That's why you should throw your child at brick walls twice a week to toughen up their bones.
