    I don't know what they sound like, I was mostly thinking of their appearance. I think they're pretty.
    I didn't know the connection to rice farming.
    In general I feel like we shouldn't get rid of any animal, unless it's an intrusive species that doesn't belong in a specific ecosystem, those can cause serious damage.
    In which ways are swallows connected to rice farming?

    Allow me explain with an example.
    Imagine, if you will, Trump sitting at his desk, fecal fluids leaking from his ass as usual.
    Anyway, he thinks to himself "man, wouldn't it be cool though to declare war on Africa to get them diamonds?"
    But then he reconsiders. Bam! War stopped.

    So, I arrive at work.
    Night shift colleague is in the shitter and the shack is locked, which is fair enough.
    He was probably giving anal birth judging by how long he was there.
    When he comes out it was 30 minutes to the end of his shift, yes I arrive very early.
    What does he do? Does he deal with the two blokes that arrived while he was pooping because it's still his shift?
    No. He says "imma bolt to take the bus".
    Not "do you mind if". Bro just fucked off.
    I'm the opposite of a bootlicker so the company won't know about this, but this is technically abandonment of the workplace.
    I only mind because he assumed I was OK with starting 30 minutes early. Which I am, but he wouldn't know that.
    Idk I just found it kinda rude.
    For the record, when I arrived my first thought was "bro went to the get coffee" and I wasn't going to report that either.

    Hey friends
    I need to get a capture card.
    Reason: I don't have a tv or a monitor to play console games on.
    Instead of spending a ton on that, and I wouldn't have room either, I wanna plug the console on my capture card and play watching obs.

    I used to do this ages ago when I was dual booting windows, the capture card I had doesn't work on linux, there are new drivers someone managed to make and some say it works, doesn't for me though.

    Goes without saying, I need as little delay as possible.

    The most competitive game I play is splatoon, though I might get that new fromsoftware game on switch2.

    I ended up buying something that @snacks@netzsphaere.xyz suggested on xmpp.
    UGREEN HD USB Video Capture Card.
    There were a few ugreen options, I bought the cheapest and most simple one, it's just a dongle with an hdmi in and usbc out, with included an adapter for usbc to usba.
    I don't remember the price exactly, but it was around 20 euros.
    Worked out of the box, nothing required to be installed.
    I haven't used it to play competitive or fast paced games yet, so I don't know how good the delay is, playing a comfy game feels like the delay is negligible, I press a button and the character reacts seemingly instantly.
    Just sharing this because the dongle is very cheap, the quality is good, works on linux plug & play. The game colors look fine, it doesn't seem to be blurry. 1080p 60fps.

    I remember at some point I had a setup with no DE, I had compiz as a WM, tint2 IIRC as a bar at the bottom. Back when I was obsessed with having as few things as possible.
    Now I don't give a fuck, the less effort I put into making my shirt work and just do things the better.

    When I say critters I don't mean I wanna put goldfish in there, a jar is too small for that.
