Look I know violence is bad, but I think we should still keep it as an option.

@ChrisMayLA6 the effect on energy supply alone will completely redraw the politics of the Middle East drastically, as well as the rest of the world and the global south in particular. Now a “developing country” won’t need to rely on oil and the petrodollar to build infrastructure. IMO this war was the bell tolling for the end of a USA driven agenda on the world stage.
@inthehands look at how popular electric scooters and bicycles are though: this story is far from over
@skinnylatte yes, the reason the country that invented tartiflette, raclette and cassoulet is healthy is because of the food 😆
(I’m from the south, the biggest employers where I grew up were the army and a confit factory)
@skinnylatte if you want Middle Eastern suggestions for variety I know a couple of good places in NW London
@skinnylatte
Ya Hela 437 Kingsbury Road NW9 9DT
Iraqi, large portions for the price, sit down meals come with red lentil soup as starter for free.
Zeytoon 94 Cricklewood Broadway
NW2 3EL
Persian, more expensive but their fesenjan is heavenly and they do Afghan mantu
Kish 5 Kilburn High Road NW6 4HJ
Another Persian, pretty good too
I like Spicy Basil (Thai, 165 Kilburn high road), always busy, but I feel I’m getting in your lane now 😊

In principle yes, although to control my panels and battery settings I have to go through a server in China so it’s not foolproof either.
Yet another reason we need to make open architecture mandatory and decriminalise reverse engineering.

Of course they have “camps” already planned, where did you think the slave labour was going to live?
@MamasPinkyToe when Harry fucking met Sally
@MamasPinkyToe “The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Fucking Lover”
@stephanie oh France did that too. Big announcement by Macron that they were putting aside €500 million to attract US scientists, especially in climate, much quieter announcement of 2€ billion cut in research funding.
To say we are governed by donkeys is an insult to donkeys.
@stephanie I am absolutely livid at how they whine and squeal about how China is overtaking “the west” in science. Well yes they’re 1.5 billion people that have been investing in science consistently for 25 years, what did they think was going to happen? The misplaced superiority of these people, they deserve slaps.
@skinnylatte I used to think I hated cities (grew up in remote countryside), and then I discovered London. It’s got its drawbacks of course, but it also one of the very best places I ever lived in. If it wasn’t so damn hot my number 2 choice would be Granada just because of how stunningly beautiful it is.
@hakan_geijer I would search in French (Atlas randonnée), a lot of the tourist info in Morocco is in French. I found a few links using that if you’re interested.
@aral “these four days felt like an entire month”
Imagine what Palestinians feel like
@aral you have space for more dongles on that MacBook
@pete @DurableAce @lnlyisol @ascentale @bikenite my utensils aren’t that clean
@goatsarah have a good, chill day!
@goatsarah my wife is on it too, and it has transformed her life (and mine by extension). She’s a pharmacist and was concerned about the need to keep increasing the dose as time goes by, so she takes it for a few days and then takes a break, sometimes up to a week. She’s been able to reduce the dose doing this, which is helpful when shortages are common. YMMV, she knows what she’s doing, ask someone who does if you want to experiment.
@freemo @AlexanderVI I too am extremely cool with being hit by lightning
