@thefinn Any reasonable basis for owning one died after the PS2 era when they were homogenized into locked-down x86 platforms.

If you want a console like experience, just get a handheld PC. Steam Deck, ROG Ally, etc. SteamOS is a better experience all around anyway.

@thefinn I never said there were "good consoles", only a reasonable basis for owning a console. That was back when they could bring custom hardware that could do things an equivalent PC from the same period couldn't.

That being said, they do serve one purpose these days : being a containment zone for said idiots. Can you imagine what the PC space would be like if every nigger who owns a PS4/5/XBuck suddenly migrated to PC? It's bad enough with cross-play.

@Humpleupagus @ArmchairEconomist01 @LittleTom Such attempts have never worked, US Courts have always held that US-based parties are subject only to American Law alone. Unless they have assets or people in the Commonwealths themselves, they have no lever except trying to bankrupt them with litigation.

Given they have IP-banned everyone from the UK, any court in the USA would find that they have taken more efforts than they are obliged to, to satisfy the plaintiff.

@Humpleupagus @ArmchairEconomist01 @LittleTom And how will they sanction them into compliance?

That legal logic is specious enough for the UK legal establishment to try it, but it would have to fly in the jurisdiction that 4chan is based in.

Presuming it's US-based, they will likely be told to pound sand on the basis that 4chan is not liable for the actions of 3rd parties.

@CliffSecord @Jonny @jeff @Patricles Why not do a double container with cryo-cooling on the outside? Really drive down the inner vessel temperature so that can you can drive down the working pressure. It may or may not be cheaper than a vessel that can withstand 150 bar, but it may be worth considering.

Square/Cube gains in working vessel size also apply.

@CliffSecord @Jonny @jeff @Patricles I see, I presume if we drive the temperature down too far we exit the sublimation zone on the phase shift graph and enter the melt region?

@sickburnbro If you are so hungry, why not visit a soup kitchen or community pantry? We already have social institutions set up to address these needs.

People act like modern civilization does not already throw away a quarter of the food it produces.

Poor bastard probably took a stray bullet, and now he's being taken as a convenient patsy. Original reports stated that there were multiple shooters, which means an organized group. Likely they got away.

@Humpleupagus @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @NoDoxGregBrady My point was humans are vastly less like wolves than they are like other hominids. So why are you disturbed by people making silly comparisons on the chans?

My rebuttal to your heavily idealized and over-socialized view of human sexuality is a separate criticism.

@Humpleupagus @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @NoDoxGregBrady You are assmad about the whole "beta male" thing even though it's a comparison to a wolf pack, where the beta's do all of the breeding (the alpha is a former beta who has retired from the breeding game in order to act as a social regulator/leader for the rest of the pack).

It's useful to understand the source material before making wild leaps of not-logic.

@Humpleupagus @RichardKuklinskisIcyGlare @NoDoxGregBrady That presumes that the females are not engaged in bi-modal sexual behavior, where they pair off publicly with a male that she uses for material provision, while forming cryptic harems with a male that she considers desirable for breeding while the provider male is off obtaining provision.

    This is near-universal hominid behavior.

@BowsacNoodle @Shadowman311 Generally it's best to be planning an exit with covered calls, just selling them for premium on something that will be around for a long time is very likely to under perform just holding the underlying due to the effect of the positive skew of average performance in the market combined with the effects of inflation and the intermittent nature of volatility.

@BowsacNoodle @Shadowman311 Especially with options. You are already clamping your upside on the short side, you would have to be extremely stupid not to hedge such a position the moment it approaches ITM. And very stupid not to hedge from the outset.
