It's like saying "Italians aren't short fat mafiosas, the Sicilians just ruined their image" when Italian as a national identity is nebulous. They have Lombards, Ligurians, Venetians, Florentines, Romans, and everyone in between.

Generally the people who willingly brand themselves as american have little in common with my values. I'd rather look for the Appalacian Warriors, the Wild West Cowboys, the New England Whigs, and the Southern Rebels. They are my brothers, not "Americans."

@PraxisOfEvil @sickburnbro @TrevorGoodchild @gucciloafers @DemonSixOne When you're asking for "right wing" or "left wing" art you necessarily are talking about the messaging more than the medium or even content to a certain extent. It's why you wouldn't consider FNAF to be rw even though the creator is a trump supporter.

When it comes to messaging, the problem the right has is that our art is too specific. For left wing art, look at X-Men. It's obviously a story about oppression, but it can fit with gender, race, class, or anything else. That's why it works.

The best rw examples that come to mind are the matrix and john carpenters "they live" but even those are basically describing emotions of waking up, and they don't really have a moral other than revolting against the status quo. There's very little art about what the status quo should be and that's why we're all fascinated by 1930s nazi aesthetics.

@sickburnbro @Witch_Hunter_Siegfired Which is why I personally don't see internal resolution (revolution) in our lifetime. We are effectively blocked at the source, and have been since the 80s when militias were infiltrated and murdered.

Either the pain of action exceeds the pain of inaction, or external powers force our govts hand off the accelerator. Seeing as guys are willing to live alone in tiny studio apartments subsisting on ramen, the pain to be endured is basically indefinite, so I'm putting all my clout chips on Russia/China to make the opening move.

@Witch_Hunter_Siegfired @sickburnbro We've been saying that since before I was born though. It looked the exact same way pre-waco. Pierce and Rockwell said our exact same talking points, and nothing changed because everyone is willing to tolerate the pain.

@Griffith The issue with talking to leftists is that they'll change their answer depending on how they perceive you. For example, if you frame a conversation around "overpopulation", a leftist will say that women's empowerment is great because it lowers birthrate. If you instead start the conversation talking about the shrinking kid-to-adult ratio, they'll be at a loss for how to fix the problem, and offer vague answers like giving mothers welfare. It's not really worth talking to these people in the same way it's not worth talking to extreme muslim fundamentalists.

@Witch_Hunter_Siegfired @Griffith That's because you're not really talking to them, you're talking to the TV. When a leftist opens it's mouth, there are no actual thoughts formulated. They offloaded that to NPR and the newest milquetoast youtube influencer.

@sun @cjd An aspect of female nature that's virtually never talked about is how their own perceived value is lowered by being in a relationship. When the okboomer egirl revealed she had a boyfriend, her simps dried up almost entirely and immediately.

So, in her mind, a woman can choose between several simps who are good at one thing (money, sex, lifestyle, etc.) vs one boyfriend/husband.

One guy can never truly compete against a roster of specialized individuals, so if she gets enough money to never rely on her unsuspecting sugar daddy (the avg 5 guy in a relationship right now), she'll ghost him. It's just how they are.

@sickburnbro It's been a while since I've even read the article, but the lense of "if you surround yourself with cat shit eventually you'll like it" is evocative and useful, but I feel compelled to attach the article so passersby know what I'm referencing.

Reposts arguably are worse than likes, though, because your introducing tumblr-brain into the ecosystem. I still use likes/reposts, but I'm consciously trying to make them less rage enducing to my mutuals even if it gives me less traffic.
