It's why you wouldn't consider FNAF to be rw even though the creator is a trump supporter.
When it comes to messaging, the problem the right has is that our art is too specific. For left wing art, look at X-Men. It's obviously a story about oppression, but it can fit with gender, race, class, or anything else. That's why it works.
The best rw examples that come to mind are the matrix and john carpenters "they live" but even those are basically describing emotions of waking up, and they don't really have a moral other than revolting against the status quo. There's very little art about what the status quo should be and that's why we're all fascinated by 1930s nazi aesthetics.
