@sun@skylar@eriner@sapphire In USA "antiterrorism" is mostly a means in which funding gets diverted to contractors that mostly produce nothing, deliver late and overbudget because of various mandates like 51% of vendors have to be woman owned ethnic albanian companies. By the time they deliver, some technology vendor has been bought out/merged/bankrupt and the product no longer meets federal testing standard 747769385 and the new technology isn't compatible with or certified for the janky albanian software.
@sapphire@sun@skylar@eriner Yes and I expect that the implementation date will get pushed another 2 years again, because uptake on travel ID is still pretty low and the infrastructure still isnt in place or is already not working due to EOL hardware/software. Toss in another round of government budget shutdown and there you go.
@PraxisOfEvil@FreeinTX I wish people could take a break from being sad and grasp that urban business moguls consider trailerpark and rural Whites as more detestable than niggers. Instead take advantage of the freakshow left now being hysterically hyperfocused on every noise that comes out of Trump for the next 4 years which means they won't be focused on anything else.
@skylar@snappler@Wiz@LittleTom@YeetLibs the worst part about this is that it is kinda lore accurate. In true adhd fashion she keeps all her stream props in a pile along the side of the wall and can still find them while blind somehow.
@Wiz@YeetLibs@LittleTom@skylar@snappler I know how this works because i have a degree of adhd too and to most people my workbench looks like a chaos mound but i have the location of every tool and part on it mapped out.
@KarlDahl@mackya@Evil_Bender@ConfederateHobo I don't care much for revolvers outside of very niche application (think of the interesting things you can do with a j frame) but I have a strange appreciation for the H&R 22.
@KarlDahl@mackya@Evil_Bender@ConfederateHobo Also I view the J frame as strictly a backup or as a non-permissive option. Requires no holster, no magazines, can be fired from inside the front pocket of a hoodie, leaves no brass behind, and is cheap and common enough that it doesn't hurt much if it gets lost.
@KarlDahl@mackya@Evil_Bender@ConfederateHobo K frame might even be pushing it unless you're talking like the 2.5" 44sp stuff. Once you get into that 4" barrel zone it becomes the conversation of "okay so this is nice, but I could have something glock 19 sized with way more capability"
@sickburnbro This is also how the children of boomers that reverse mortgaged every cent of generational wealth away behave. The 'I got nothing so it is equitable that you get nothing' mindset.
@sickburnbro 3rd option, USN knows if they hang around in the red sea the Houthi will continue to take shots at them and eventually probability says they land a crippling shot. Even if not, every defensive engagement forces them off station to rearm.
@deprecated_ii@skylar Pretty sure silents and boomers fucked things over with civil rights act draining competency out of everything followed by 50+ years of shipping as much industrial capacity out as they could. If anything, computing is a compensation response to the loss of production and competent workers.
@BowsacNoodle@PraxisOfEvil In "purple" states where the GOP holds narrow majority control, instead of accepting "limited" and removing the topic from the election cycle, doubled down on "never" and then wondered why they lost seats in suburban districts. Then continued to be boggled when "unlimited" got forced on them by various means.
