    @prettygood I really like seeing the four girls' personalities and values... How they deal mentally with real-world problems and whatnot. I don't have as much interest for the plot right now as I do seeing them deal with the various philosophical issues, like WTF Misaka should do about all her "sisters", or seeing Accelerator* come to terms with relying on those sisters to make his brain stay normal. I hardly care for the fight scenes themselves.

    *Admittedly, he is not one of the four girls.

    @prettygood on another note, i'm rewatching A Certain Scientific Railgun. I've had trouble with rewatching anime lately, but for this one I'm skipping all the parts that I remember that I don't want to see, and that's helping me a lot. I've made it to episode 16 so far.

    @prettygood don't worry, they can't feel pain until after 18 days of incubation, and (normal) balut is only incubated for up to 18 days. (men may try to eat a further-incubated bird to prove their manliness)

    @prettygood i just found out about balut (food). thanks to my white american upbringing, i don't think i'll be able to eat it so long as i'm still unwilling to eat any of the "unusual" parts of animals. i'll gladly eat chicken nuggets, though!

      The Balut ( bə-LOOT, BAH-loot; also spelled as balot) are the fertilized developing egg embryo that is boiled or steamed and eaten from the shell. It is commonly sold as street food, often eaten with salt and vinegar, most notably in the Philippines, Cambodia (Khmer: ពងទាកូន, paung tea kaun), and Vietnam (Vietnamese: trứng vịt lộn, hột vịt lộn), and also occasionally in Thailand (Thai: ไข่ข้าว, romanized: khai khao). The length of incubation before the egg is cooked is a matter of local preference, but generally ranges from two to three weeks. Description A balut is a fertilized bird egg (usually a duck) that is incubated for a period of 14 to 21 days, depending on the local culture, and then steamed. The contents are eaten directly...
