For example, if you frame a conversation around "overpopulation", a leftist will say that women's empowerment is great because it lowers birthrate. If you instead start the conversation talking about the shrinking kid-to-adult ratio, they'll be at a loss for how to fix the problem, and offer vague answers like giving mothers welfare. It's not really worth talking to these people in the same way it's not worth talking to extreme muslim fundamentalists.
