@KarlDahl@mackya@Evil_Bender@ConfederateHobo I don't care much for revolvers outside of very niche application (think of the interesting things you can do with a j frame) but I have a strange appreciation for the H&R 22.
@KarlDahl@mackya@Evil_Bender@ConfederateHobo Also I view the J frame as strictly a backup or as a non-permissive option. Requires no holster, no magazines, can be fired from inside the front pocket of a hoodie, leaves no brass behind, and is cheap and common enough that it doesn't hurt much if it gets lost.
@KarlDahl@mackya@Evil_Bender@ConfederateHobo K frame might even be pushing it unless you're talking like the 2.5" 44sp stuff. Once you get into that 4" barrel zone it becomes the conversation of "okay so this is nice, but I could have something glock 19 sized with way more capability"
@sickburnbro This is also how the children of boomers that reverse mortgaged every cent of generational wealth away behave. The 'I got nothing so it is equitable that you get nothing' mindset.
@sickburnbro 3rd option, USN knows if they hang around in the red sea the Houthi will continue to take shots at them and eventually probability says they land a crippling shot. Even if not, every defensive engagement forces them off station to rearm.
@deprecated_ii@skylar Pretty sure silents and boomers fucked things over with civil rights act draining competency out of everything followed by 50+ years of shipping as much industrial capacity out as they could. If anything, computing is a compensation response to the loss of production and competent workers.
@BowsacNoodle@PraxisOfEvil In "purple" states where the GOP holds narrow majority control, instead of accepting "limited" and removing the topic from the election cycle, doubled down on "never" and then wondered why they lost seats in suburban districts. Then continued to be boggled when "unlimited" got forced on them by various means.
@PraxisOfEvil Also in many of the swing states, the GOP instead of having a palatable platform on the abortion question instead stuck to a almost sharia law position that has alienated them with all women and most thinking nonpartisan men. It cost them in 2022 and the price will be higher this cycle.
@haberdasher@sickburnbro Because for that section of the oven middle class, the mass chaos doesn't exist while bad man on TV does. Mostly remote workers and everything comes via internet and contactless delivery.
@LouisConde@sickburnbro Most of the time its a requirement or an advantage to access other services. I keep $25 in a savings acct because it results in not paying a management fee on a letter of credit.
