   in which case, it's more unstable than people admit.
   
   The more conspiracy minded take is
   "they are protecting the jews"
   
   In which case, things are bad because the US is losing the job of being world police

     @sickburnbro 3rd option, USN knows if they hang around in the red sea the Houthi will continue to take shots at them and eventually probability says they land a crippling shot. Even if not, every defensive engagement forces them off station to rearm.
